| WHEREAS, John McBride, Vice President and owner of ERH |
3 |
| Enterprises in Westville, was recently named Operator of the |
4 |
| Year by the Illinois Potable Water Supply Operators Association |
5 |
| (IPWSOA), the highest honor an operator can receive in the |
6 |
| waterworks industry;
and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. McBride received the award for his outstanding |
8 |
| service and performance in the groundwater division for his |
9 |
| water treatment facility in Bement; he has received numerous |
10 |
| awards from the IPWSOA in the past, including first-runner up |
11 |
| in both the groundwater and wastewater operations categories |
12 |
| for his facilities in Gilman in 2001 and first runner-up in the |
13 |
| surface water division in 1994 for operations at his Georgetown |
14 |
| facility; he also received the National Operations Maintenance |
15 |
| award in 1991 for the Westville-Belgium facility; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, ERH Enterprises operations has been based in |
17 |
| Westville since 1985; the Bement facility is one of eighteen |
18 |
| facilities currently operated by ERH; ERH employs more than |
19 |
| fifty people and over 40% of its staff hold water or wastewater |
20 |
| certifications, including Mr. McBride, who holds the highest |
21 |
| certification in both Illinois and Indiana; Mr. McBride has |
22 |
| been a staunch advocate of taxpayer education and awareness of |
23 |
| the waterworks industry by encouraging the public to tour ERH |
24 |
| facilities and providing answers to better inform the public; |
25 |
| and |
26 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. McBride's dedication and leadership is |
27 |
| evident in his innovative approach to improving the efficiency |
28 |
| and appearance of waterworks facilities in order to run a |
29 |
| first-class operation that provides first-class service that |
30 |
| is on the cutting edge of improving the public water supply; |
