| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives wish to congratulate Esther O'Halloran of |
| 4 |
| Casey on the occasion of her 107th birthday on September 13, |
| 5 |
| 2005; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The occasion of a 107th birthday is an |
| 7 |
| exceptionally
splendid one and calls for great celebration; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. O'Halloran was born September 13, 1898, in |
| 9 |
| West Union, and has lived all of her life in the Clark County |
| 10 |
| area; she had eight siblings and a happy childhood; she married |
| 11 |
| when she was in her 20s; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She received her B.S. degree and became a school |
| 13 |
| teacher; she taught all subjects in a one-room school house; |
| 14 |
| and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The most exciting time in her life was a |
| 16 |
| three-month trip abroad; she attributes her longevity to being |
| 17 |
| brought up in the country where they ate good healthy food that |
| 18 |
| they grew themselves; therefore, be it
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 |
| we heartily congratulate Esther O'Halloran on her 107th |
| 22 |
| birthday and wish her continued health
and happiness in the |
| 23 |
| future; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to Esther O'Halloran as an expression of our |
| 26 |
| admiration and high regard.
