| WHEREAS, Rae Rupp Srch is retiring as Village President of |
3 |
| Villa Park upon the completion of her third term; and
|
4 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Srch's most recent community service |
5 |
| activities have included, among others, chairman, DuComm Board |
6 |
| of Directors; Board of Overseers, Rice Campus, Illinois |
7 |
| Institute of Technology; vice-chairman, Council of Mayors, |
8 |
| Chicago Area Transportation Study (CATS); chairman, CATS |
9 |
| Regional Transportation Program Committee; and treasurer of |
10 |
| the National Association of Metropolitan Planning |
11 |
| Organizations (AMPO) representing CATS; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, She previously taught various software programs |
13 |
| at Aurora Community College in Adult education, District 88 |
14 |
| Adult Education classes on Starting a Small Business, State and |
15 |
| Division PTA seminars on Parliamentary Procedures, leadership |
16 |
| training to the State Kiwanis Organization, and she was a St. |
17 |
| John's, Villa Park CCD Teacher for the first grade; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, She has a bachelor's degree from National Lewis |
19 |
| University, a Library Technical associate degree from the |
20 |
| College of DuPage, an associates art degree from Chicago Junior |
21 |
| College, and has taken additional courses/seminars in |
22 |
| collective bargaining, leadership skills and training, |
23 |
| cultural diversity, and religious education; and
|
24 |
| WHEREAS, Her past community involvements have included |
25 |
| serving as Kiwanis Governor, Illinois-Eastern Iowa District of |
26 |
| Kiwanis; president, DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference; |
27 |
| District 45 School Board member and president, and serving on |
28 |
| Villa Park's Planning and Zoning Commission, its Blue Ribbon |
29 |
| Comprehensive Plan Commission, and as a library board member |
30 |
| and trustee; therefore, be it
