| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Kathleen Mary Lennon is retiring as Avon Township |
| 3 |
| Town Clerk; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lennon has served as Avon Township Town |
| 5 |
| Clerk, Officer Manager, and Assistant to the Supervisor from |
| 6 |
| 1989 to 2005; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, She graduated from Grant High School in 1954; she |
| 8 |
| has five children, 11 grandchildren, and five |
| 9 |
| great-grandchildren; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Lennon worked as a Lake Villa Township |
| 11 |
| caseworker from 1986 to 1988, as a Deputy Clerk for the Village |
| 12 |
| of Round Lake Beach from 1988 to 1989, and in police records |
| 13 |
| for the Round Lake Heights Police Department for one year; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She has been a community volunteer for many years; |
| 15 |
| she served as West Lake County Coordinator for the Community |
| 16 |
| Action Project, Round Lake Beach; as part of the Community |
| 17 |
| Action Project, she organized and operated the distribution of |
| 18 |
| USDA commodities; she brought the Share Food Program to Western |
| 19 |
| Lake County; she was a member of the Lake County Health |
| 20 |
| Department, Midlakes Clinic Health Advisory Board, from 1981 to |
| 21 |
| 2003; and she was the founder of the Avon Township Food Pantry |
| 22 |
| in 1991; and
|
| 23 |
| WHEREAS, She is currently the President of the Homeowners |
| 24 |
| Association for The Ports of Sullivan Lake; therefore, be it
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 26 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 27 |
| we congratulate Kathleen Lennon on her retirement and commend |
| 28 |
| her for her many years of community service; and be it further
