| WHEREAS, Well-known area farmer and businessman Richard R. |

| Rubenacker of McLeansboro passed away February 23, 2005; and
|

| WHEREAS, Mr. Rubenacker was born June 28, 1934, in Belle |
5 |
| Prairie City to Rudolph and Emma (Kiefer) Rubenacker; he |
6 |
| married Margarette J. (Jody) Biggerstaff on November 22, 1956; |
7 |
| and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, His family operates a grain farm in the Hamilton |
9 |
| County area; they are also the owners of Hamilton County |
10 |
| Equipment in McLeansboro and White County Equipment in Carmi, |
11 |
| the area Case IH dealerships; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Well-known as an area entertainer and fiddle |
13 |
| player, Mr. Rubenacker was an original member of Country Kin in |
14 |
| the 1970s; in later years, he enjoyed performing at charitable |
15 |
| functions and community activities, along with his |
16 |
| brother-in-law, Leo Aydt; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, In 1983, he was named Master Farmer of the Year by |
18 |
| Prairie Farmer Magazine and has been featured in various other |
19 |
| farm publications; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, He served on numerous boards and committees, |
21 |
| including the Peoples National Bank Board of Directors, Rend |
22 |
| Lake College Foundation Board, Rend Lake College Agricultural |
23 |
| Advisory Board, Hamilton County Unit 10 School Board, Hamilton |
24 |
| County Board of Supervisors, Southeastern Illinois Planning |
25 |
| Commission, Dahlgren Township Supervisor, Wayne-White Counties |
26 |
| Electric Cooperative Board, Federal Land Bank Board, Farmers |
27 |
| Home Administration Board, and Hamilton County Soil and Water |

| Conservation Board; and
