| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois wish to congratulate Catherine Fuller, an |
4 |
| esteemed resident of Flat Rock, on the occasion of the |
5 |
| celebration of her 100th birthday on January 21, 2005; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born in 1905, the daughter of Richard and |
7 |
| Kitty Farris; she had three sisters, two brothers, a |
8 |
| step-sister, and three step-brothers; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, She married Isaac "Zeke" Fuller and they had three |
10 |
| children, Milford, Sharon Pritchard, and Doris Decker; she has |
11 |
| four grandchildren, Lance and Todd Decker, Lynnette Knoblett, |
12 |
| and Chad Pritchard, and six great-grandchildren, Bridget |
13 |
| Brady, Alex and Madison Decker, and Autumn and Chase Knoblett; |
14 |
| her husband and her son, Milford, are deceased; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, Before she went to live with her daughter, |
16 |
| Catherine spent her entire life in Crawford or Lawrence County |
17 |
| on a farm; she always milked a lot of cows, raised hogs, had a |
18 |
| lot of chickens, and spent a lot of days working in the fields; |
19 |
| and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, She was known for her baked pies; one year, she |
21 |
| made over 200 pies and most were given away; in her spare time, |
22 |
| Catherine liked to crochet, piece quilts, and quilt; at the age |
23 |
| of 96, she could still do her own tatting and made yards of it; |
24 |
| at the age of 100, Catherine attributes her long life to hard |
25 |
| work, good clean country air, and faith in the Lord; therefore, |
26 |

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we extend our heartiest congratulations and best wishes to |
