| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |

| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there is created the Fire |
| 5 |
| Protection Task Force consisting of 9 members as follows: (i) |
| 6 |
| one member appointed by the Governor, (ii) one member appointed |
| 7 |
| by the Illinois Municipal League, (iii) one member appointed by |
| 8 |
| the Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts, |
| 9 |
| (iv) one member appointed by the Illinois Association of Fire |
| 10 |
| Protection Districts, (v) one member appointed by the |
| 11 |
| Associated Firefighters of Illinois, (vi) one member appointed |
| 12 |
| by the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association, and (vii) 4 members |
| 13 |
| appointed by the Illinois Legislative Fire Caucus; and be it |
| 14 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall study the issue of |
| 16 |
| merger and consolidation of services among fire protection |
| 17 |
| districts, and the Task Force must report to the Governor and |
| 18 |
| the General Assembly no later than November 1, 2006; and be it |
| 19 |
| further

| 20 |
| RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall dissolve upon reporting |
| 21 |
| to the Governor and the General Assembly.
