Amends the Public Utilities Act. Creates the Sale of Nuclear Power to Electric Utilities Article in the Public Utilities Act. Requires nuclear power generation companies located in Illinois to sell 70% of the electricity generated each year to Illinois electric utilities for a period of 10 years. Provides that the Illinois Commerce Commission may adopt rules for the implementation and enforcement of the Article. Effective immediately.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding |

| Article XX as follows:

| Sec. 20-1. Short title. This Article may be cited as the |

| Sale of Nuclear Power to Electric Utilities Law.

| Sec. 20-5. Definitions. In this Article: |
| 13 |
| "Electric utility" has the same meaning given to the term |
| 14 |
| in Article XVI of this Act. |
| 15 |
| "Nuclear power generating company" means any corporation |
| 16 |
| or company that owns one or more nuclear power generating |
| 17 |
| plants in the State whose construction was subsidized by the |
| 18 |
| State.

| Sec. 20-10. Required sale of nuclear-generated electricity |

| to electric utilities. A nuclear power generating company must |

| years after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the |
