SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $10,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Agriculture for institutional agricultural research grants to public universities and for administrative costs incurred by the Department related to these grants. Effective July 1, 2006.

AN ACT making appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $10,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Agriculture for distribution of institutional agricultural research grants to public universities authorized by the Food and Agriculture Research Act and for administrative costs incurred by the Department pursuant to Section 15 of the Food and Agriculture Research Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2006.
