Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department shall establish, at least annually, trade meetings in areas of the State where an international business center is located to assist Illinois businesses to connect with their trade offices. Sets forth certain requirements for these trade meetings.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic |

| Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |

| amended by adding Section 605-612 as follows: |

| (20 ILCS 605/605-612 new) |

| Sec. 605-612. Trade meetings. To assist Illinois |
9 |
| businesses to connect with their trade offices, the Department |
10 |
| shall establish, at least annually, trade meetings in areas of |
11 |
| the State where an international business center is located. |
12 |
| The trade meetings shall sponsor trade shows and trade seminars |
13 |
| to assist small to medium-sized businesses to work in the |
14 |
| global marketplace and, in addition, to attract new jobs |
15 |
| through foreign investment in the area.
