Amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of State Police shall establish a Statewide, toll-free telephone number to be known as the Methamphetamine Abuse Hotline that may be used by law enforcement agencies and the public to report the location of sites suspected of being used or that are or were used for the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine. Effective July 1, 2005.

| AN ACT concerning State government.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of State Police Law of the
Civil |

| Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section |
6 |
| 2605-560 as follows: |

| Sec. 2605-560. Methamphetamine Abuse Hotline. The |
9 |
| Department of State Police shall establish a Statewide, |
10 |
| toll-free telephone number to be known as the Methamphetamine |
11 |
| Abuse Hotline that may be used by law enforcement agencies and |
12 |
| the public to report the location of sites suspected of being |
13 |
| used or that are or were used for the illegal manufacture of |
14 |
| methamphetamine.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July |
16 |
| 1, 2005.
