    AN ACT concerning civil law.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Non-Support Punishment Act is amended by 
5
changing Section 40 as follows:

    (750 ILCS 16/40)

    Sec. 40. Evidence. No other or greater evidence shall be 
8
required to
prove the
the
marriage of a husband and wife, or 
9
that the defendant is the father or mother
of the child
or 
10
children than is or shall be required to prove that fact in a 
11
civil action.
