| AN ACT concerning regulation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987 is amended by |
5 |
| changing Section 8 as follows:
|

| Sec. 8. The
The Department may, in its discretion, license
|
9 |
| as a pharmacist, without examination, on payment of the |
10 |
| required fee,
an applicant who is so licensed under the laws of |
11 |
| another U.S. jurisdiction
or another country, if the |
12 |
| requirements for licensure in the other
jurisdiction in which |
13 |
| the applicant was licensed, were, at the date
of his licensure |
14 |
| deemed by the Board to be substantially equivalent
to the |
15 |
| requirements then in force in this State. |
