SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $200,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the administration of a pilot program to provide recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families with assistance in obtaining a post-secondary education degree.  Effective July 1, 2005.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5.  The sum of $200,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the administration of a pilot program to provide recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families with assistance in obtaining a post-secondary education degree.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
