| AN ACT concerning education.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 |
| 2-3.137 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (105 ILCS 5/2-3.137 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 2-3.137. Financial aid for college entrance |
| 8 |
| examination preparation courses. The State Board of Education |
| 9 |
| shall establish a program to provide financial aid to high |
| 10 |
| school students to pay for the costs of enrolling in courses |
| 11 |
| that prepare students to take those standardized examinations |
| 12 |
| that are commonly required for college entrance. The State |
| 13 |
| Board may adopt any rules that are necessary to implement and |
| 14 |
| administer this Section.
