Amends the Illinois Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Provides that no person shall sell, deliver, offer for sale, hold for sale, give away, use, or prescribe any product used for the treatment of lice or scabies in human beings that contains the pesticide chemical lindane. Effective January 1, 2006.

| AN ACT concerning health.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act is |
5 |
| amended by adding Section 17.2 as follows: |
6 |
| (410 ILCS 620/17.2 new) |
7 |
| Sec. 17.2. Pesticide chemical use; lindane. No person |
8 |
| shall sell, deliver, offer for sale, hold for sale, give away, |
9 |
| use, or prescribe any product used for the treatment of lice or |
10 |
| scabies in human beings that contains the pesticide chemical |
11 |
| lindane.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January |
13 |
| 1, 2006.
