SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $40,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, to the Department of Human Services for funding a 50 cent per hour wage increase for direct care and support staff employed by private sector agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Effective July 1, 2005.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. In addition to all other amounts appropriated for these purposes, $40,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services to fund a 50 cent per hour wage increase for direct care and support staff employed by private sector agencies serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
