| AN ACT concerning State government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental |
| 5 |
| Disabilities Administrative Act is amended by changing Section |
| 6 |
| 11.1 as follows:
|
| 7 |
| (20 ILCS 1705/11.1) (from Ch. 91 1/2, par. 100-11.1)

| Sec. 11.1. To provide for all recipients living in State |
| 9 |
| mental
health facilities between the
the ages of 3 and 21 years |
| 10 |
| special
education services, as defined by the Department, to |
| 11 |
| the
extent that such services are practical for each child's |
| 12 |
| needs. Upon
discharge of the child, a report of the discharge, |
| 13 |
| accompanied by a report
on the special education services |
| 14 |
| received by that child while in the
facility shall be forwarded |
| 15 |
| to the State Board of
Education and to the resident school |
| 16 |
| district. |
