    AN ACT concerning local government.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is 
5
amended  by adding Section 3B.09b as follows:

    (70 ILCS 3615/3B.09b  new)

    Sec. 3B.09b. Bicycles on commuter trains. Beginning no 
8
later than 60 days after the effective date of this amendatory 
9
Act of the 94th General Assembly, the commuter rail division 
10
must adopt rules to allow commuters to bring bicycles onto 
11
trains.  At a minimum, bicycles must be allowed on trains during 
12
non-rush hours and on weekends.
