Synopsis As Introduced
Proposes to amend the General Provisions Article of the Illinois Constitution to provide that only marriage between one man and one woman is valid. Provides that any relationship between persons of the same sex in a civil union, domestic partnership, or other similar same sex relationship shall not be valid or recognized in Illinois. Effective upon being declared adopted.
