Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Authorizes counties to license hawkers, peddlers, itinerant merchants, and transient vendors. Authorizes counties to impose a license fee and adopt rules concerning application and eligibility requirements for a license.

House Amendment No. 1
Provides that license fees charged by a county to certain hawkers, peddlers, itinerant merchants, and transient vendors shall be in a reasonable amount necessary to defray the county's cost of administering the license. Creates exceptions for licensed insurance agents and certain direct sellers.
