Synopsis As Introduced
Proposes to amend the Revenue Article of the Illinois Constitution. Specifies the State and local highway purposes for which moneys derived from motor vehicle and motor vehicle fuels fees, excises, and license taxes may be used. Limits each fiscal year's total appropriations for State traffic law enforcement, administration of motor vehicle laws, and administration and collection of motor vehicle and motor vehicle fuel fees, excises, and license taxes to 2% of the amount of those fees, excises, and taxes collected in the previous fiscal year. Effective upon being declared adopted.
