Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Highway Code. Provides that, if relocation of the equipment of any public utility company is necessary for highway construction and the public utility company has not responded to requests for that relocation, the Department of Transportation or the local highway authority may hire a subcontractor to relocate the equipment and may charge the public utility for the relocation. Provides that the Department or local highway authority shall not be liable for any resulting damages. Effective immediately.
