Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Requires a riverboat with a home dock located within the City of Joliet to pay to the Illinois Gaming Board $1,500,000 on July 1, 2006 or within 30 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act, whichever is later. Provides that the payments shall be deposited into the Joliet Civic Center Improvement Fund and shall be used for repairs and improvements to the Joliet Civic Center. Amends the State Finance Act to create the Joliet Civic Center Improvement Fund as a special fund in the State Treasury. Exempts the Fund from the Act's administrative chargeback provisions. Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Requires a riverboat with a home dock located within the City of Joliet to pay to the Illinois Gaming Board $1,500,000 on July 1, 2006 or within 30 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act, whichever is later. Provides that the payments shall be deposited into the Rialto Square Theatre Improvement Fund and shall be used for repairs and improvements to the Rialto Square Theatre. Amends the State Finance Act to create the Rialto Square Theatre Improvement Fund as a special fund in the State Treasury. Exempts the Fund from the Act's administrative chargeback provisions. Effective immediately.
