Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Municipal Code. Provides that certain fines imposed against a property owner for building code violations may be collected as a special assessment on the property if the fines remain unpaid 60 days after being imposed.

House Amendment No. 1
Provides that the county collector shall retain 5% of the amount of fines and costs collected as special assessments and deposit that amount in the Tax Sale Automation Fund.
