Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires the Department of Public Health to develop educational materials on meningitis for distribution in elementary and secondary schools. Effective immediately.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1

	Deletes reference to:
	20 ILCS 2310/2310-391

	Adds reference to:
	305 ILCS 5/5-5.4	from Ch. 23, par. 5-5.4

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. In provisions concerning Medicaid rates for nursing homes, provides that for facilities licensed by the Department of Public Health as Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled or Long Term Care for Under Age 22 facilities, the rates taking effect on January 1, 2006 shall include an increase of 3%. Effective immediately.
