Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning a person's accountability for another person's conduct.

House Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
720 ILCS 5/5-1
Adds reference to:
720 ILCS 5/16-22 new

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Creates the offense of tampering with a security, fire, or life safety system. Provides that a person commits the offense when he or she knowingly damages, sabotages, destroys, or causes a permanent or temporary malfunction in any physical or electronic security, fire, or life safety system or any component part of any of those systems. Provides that a violation is a Class 4 felony.
