625 ILCS 5/3-806from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-806

Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Beginning with the 2007 registration year, increases by $1 the fee to be collected for registration of any vehicle of the first division and any vehicle of the second division weighing 8,000 pounds or less. Provides that the additional $1 shall be deposited into the State Police Vehicle Fund. Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
625 ILCS 5/3-815from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-815

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the additional $1 fee applies to vehicles of the second division weighing 8,000 pounds or less registered under the flat weight tax option.

House Amendment No. 2
Adds reference to:
30 ILCS 105/8h

Amends the State Finance Act. Provides that, through fiscal year 2007, no amount may be transferred from the State Police Vehicle Fund to the General Revenue Fund.
