Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Chicago school district.

House Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
105 ILCS 5/34-2.3a
Adds reference to:
105 ILCS 5/13A-8

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Safe Schools Law of the School Code. With respect to funding for alternative school programs, increases the amount of funding that a program is to receive (from $30,000 to $50,000) if $19,035,500 or more is appropriated in a fiscal year for alternative school programs. Changes how the best 3 months' average daily attendance is computed under the funding calculation. Provides that if a program is to receive a total distribution for a given fiscal year that is less than the total distribution that the program received for the 2005-2006 fiscal year, then that program shall receive a supplementary payment equal to the amount by which its total distribution for the 2005-2006 fiscal year exceeds the amount of the total distribution that the program receives for the given fiscal year. Effective July 1, 2005.
