Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that blue oscillating, rotating, or flashing lights are prohibited if lighted (rather than whether lighted or unlighted), except on specified vehicles.

House Amendment No. 1
Restores language providing that these lights are prohibited whether lighted or unlighted, except on specified vehicles. Provides that the exemption applies to vehicles owned or operated (rather than owned or fully operated) by specified persons. Provides that a person using these lights in accordance with the provision must carry an identification card or letter identifying the bona fide member of a fire department or other specified agency that owns or operates the vehicle (rather than identifying the person using the lights as a member of a bona fide fire department or other specified agency).
