SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, We have learned with sadness of the death of
3 Emelda Augustine "Patsy" Hilbring of Chicago; and
 
4     WHEREAS, Mrs. Hilbring was born on January 2, 1924, in
5 Chicago, the daughter of Oliver Louis Gregoire and Louise Marie
6 Stephens Gregoire; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Mrs. Hilbring married George Henry Hilbring, Jr.
8 at St. Anselm's Roman Catholic Church on September 30, 1945;
9 they had four children; he preceded her in death on February 8,
10 1997; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Mrs. Hilbring worked at Kellogg Switchboard and
12 Supply Co., after graduating from St. Anselm's Grammar School
13 and Englewood High School; she later worked for various other
14 companies, including Teletype Corp. in Skokie, before retiring
15 from Union Carbide Corp. in 1985; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Mrs. Hilbring had a zest for living and devoted
17 her life to raising her four children; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. Hilbring will be deeply felt
19 by many, especially her daughter, Patricia; her sons, Donald,
20 George, and William; her grandchildren, George IV (Danielle),
21 Veronica, Eric, and Donald, Maria (Sean) Armstead, Angela
22 (Jonathan) Swain, and Monique (Mark) Rodgers; her
23 great-grandchildren, Jonathan David and Isaiah Michael Swain,
24 Karyn Elise Armstead, and Abby Marie Hilbring; her twin sister,
25 Aleda Rice; her sister, Helen (Ferrell) Daste; her brothers,
26 Oliver (Joyce) Gregoire and Edward (Delores) Gregoire; her
27 sisters-in-law, Gloria Merrill, Irma (late William) Hilbring,
28 and Zipporah (late Hudson) McKissack; and a host of nieces,
29 nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
3 Emelda Augustine "Patsy" Hilbring along with all who knew and
4 loved her and extend our sincere condolences to her family and
5 friends; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to the family of Emelda Augustine "Patty" Hilbring as
8 an expression of our deepest sympathy.
