| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express |
3 |
| their sincere condolences to the family of Mia M. Ware, who |
4 |
| passed away on August 21, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mia Ware was born on November 11, 1967, in |
6 |
| Jacksonville, to Danny and Karla Beddingfield Farmer; she |
7 |
| married William Bradley "Brad" Ware in 1995; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Ware graduated from Jacksonville High School |
9 |
| in 1985; she earned a Bachelor of Arts in history at Illinois |
10 |
| State University in 1990, where she was a Sigma Phi Alpha |
11 |
| Little Sister; and |
12 |
| WHEREAS, Mia Ware managed a photo lab at Prestige Video; |
13 |
| she was a substitute teacher for District 117, Winchester |
14 |
| School District, and the Illinois School for the Visually |
15 |
| Impaired; additionally, she worked as a Longaberger sales |
16 |
| consultant; and |
17 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Ware was a devoted member of Grace United |
18 |
| Methodist Church; she served on the Fox Trust Fund Committee |
19 |
| and was the chairperson for the Vacation Bible School; and |
20 |
| WHEREAS, Mia Ware was also a conscientious and active |
21 |
| member of the Jacksonville community; she was a member of the |
22 |
| Jacksonville Assembly 19 Order of the Rainbow, serving as a |
23 |
| worthy advisor in 1981 and a junior member of the state |
24 |
| executive committee; she served as the secretary and on the |
25 |
| board of directors for the Pilot Club; she was an active member |
26 |
| of the Arcadia Women's Club, the Passavant Hospital Auxiliary, |
27 |
| the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Board, and the American |
28 |
| Cancer Society Western Division Regional Board; and she was an |
29 |
| active participant with the American Cancer Society Relay for |
30 |
| Life, serving on the Illinois Task Force and as the honorary |
