| WHEREAS, We
have learned with sadness of the death of |
3 |
| Elizabeth T. "Betty" Gray of Waukegan, Illinois, on September |
4 |
| 4,
2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Gray
was born on January 5, 1918, in Hungary, |
6 |
| the daughter of John and Theresa Kenesie; she was a member of |
7 |
| St. Dismas Catholic Church in Waukegan; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Gray realized the American dream of owning |
9 |
| her own business by hard work; she owned Betty Gray's Beauty |
10 |
| Salon for 40 years; and |
11 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Gray was a dedicated and community-minded |
12 |
| individual who helped many people and was known as a kind and |
13 |
| caring person; and |
14 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph |
15 |
| John Gray; by her parents; by two brothers, John Kenesie, Jr. |
16 |
| and Andrew Kenesie; and by three sisters, Irma Kenesie, Ann |
17 |
| Vinski, and Helen Kenesie; and |
18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. Gray will be deeply felt by
|
19 |
| many, especially her sons, Ronald J. (Kay) Gray and Richard K. |
20 |
| (Pam) Gray; her grandchildren, Jodi (Ed) Tipler, Tami (Michael) |
21 |
| Wennerstin, Brandon Gray, and Ian Gray; her brother, Steven |
22 |
| (Dorothy) Kenesie; her sister, Teddy (Robert) O'Malley; and her |
23 |
| many nieces and nephews;
therefore, be it |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
|

| Elizabeth T. "Betty" Gray along with all who knew and loved her |

| and extend
our sincere condolences to her family and friends; |
