| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were deeply |
3 |
| saddened to learn of the death of Walter Wietecha of Park Ridge |
4 |
| on June 20, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Wietecha was the husband of nearly 64 years of |
6 |
| Frances Wietecha and the father and number one supporter of |
7 |
| Park Ridge's former mayor, Ron Wietecha; he was an extremely |
8 |
| active grandfather who fanatically attended his |
9 |
| grandchildren's soccer games and enjoyed taking them for train |
10 |
| rides; and |
11 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Wietecha worked for the Chicago/Northwestern |
12 |
| Railroad as an office manager; he was an active member of the |
13 |
| train union who helped negotiate numerous deals between |
14 |
| employers and the union; he had a lifelong love of trains and |
15 |
| was known to hop on the train in downtown Park Ridge and ride |
16 |
| it into Chicago to have coffee with former railroad colleagues; |
17 |
| and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Walter Wietecha will be deeply felt |
19 |
| by many, especially his wife, Florence; his children, Ron |
20 |
| (wife, GiGi) and Marcia (Louie) Litrenta; his grandchildren, Ro |
21 |
| (Jennifer Aitken), Jay (Holly) Wietecha, and Louis and Nicholas |
22 |
| Litrenta; his siblings, Jean Lis and Edward Wietecha; and many |
23 |
| nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
26 |
| Walter Wietecha along with all who knew and loved him and |
27 |
| extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and |
28 |
| be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
