| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Franklin L. Gossell of |
4 |
| Wauconda on Saturday, July 10, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Franklin L. Gossell was born on December 17, 1928 |
6 |
| in Elgin to Albert A. and Edna Gossell; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Gossell valiantly served his country during |
8 |
| World War II in the U.S. Navy; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Gossell had been the Wauconda Township Road |
10 |
| Commissioner since October 1, 1974; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Gossell was a member of American Legion Post |
12 |
| #911 in Wauconda; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Franklin L. Gossell has been deeply |
14 |
| felt by many, especially his wife of 50 years, Mary E. "Betty" |
15 |
| (nee Williams); his children, David (Denise), Richard, Daniel |
16 |
| (Wendy), and Mary (Jerry) Shafer; his grandchildren, Greg, |
17 |
| Michelle, Katie, and Kevin Gossell, and Kristina, Joshua, and |
18 |
| Jennifer Shafer; his brother-in-law Richard (Barbara) |
19 |
| Williams; his niece and nephews Jana, Rob, and Rick Williams; |
20 |
| and his cousin Sue (Tom) Anderson; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
23 |
| Franklin L. Gossell, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his |
24 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
25 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to the family of Franklin L. Gossell as an expression |
28 |
| of our sincere condolences.
