| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were saddened to learn of the death of Richard E. Bush of |
4 |
| Waukegan on June 7, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Richard E. Bush was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, on |
6 |
| December 23, 1924; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bush retired in 1973 from his position as a |
8 |
| contract representative with the Veterans Administration after |
9 |
| 25 years of service; he was a veteran of World War II, having |
10 |
| served with the United States Marine Corps; he received the |
11 |
| Congressional Medal of Honor and five Purple Hearts for |
12 |
| injuries received in combat; and |
13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Bush enjoyed horses, traveling, and people; |
14 |
| and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Richard E. Bush will be deeply felt |
16 |
| by many, especially his son, Richard (Karen) Bush; his two |
17 |
| grandsons, David and Rob; and his longtime and loving |
18 |
| companion, Nelda Moyers; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith |
20 |
| Smith; and his former wife, Stella; therefore, be it |
21 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our deep |
23 |
| sense of loss on the passing of Richard E. Bush and extend our |
24 |
| sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it |
25 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to the family of Richard E. Bush as an expression of
|
28 |
| our deepest sympathy.
