| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were saddened to learn of the death of Paul C. Sauget of Sauget |
4 |
| on May 11, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Sauget was born on June 21, 1925 in Sauget; he |
6 |
| served as mayor for 34 years of the village that bears his |
7 |
| family name; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of the East Lodge 504 AF&AM, the |
9 |
| Scottish Rite Bodies of Southern Illinois, and the Ainad |
10 |
| Temple; he was also a Korean War United States Army veteran; |
11 |
| and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Paul Sauget will be deeply felt by |
13 |
| many, especially his four daughters, Diane L. (Roger) Hackett, |
14 |
| Yvonne (David) Schutzenhofer, Suzanne M. (Joseph) Riva, and |
15 |
| Linda C. (Eddie) Robeson; his sisters, Marguerite Mischke and |
16 |
| Antoinette Taylor; his three grandchildren, Patricia Riva, |
17 |
| Eric Robeson, and Katelyn Robeson; and his friend, Gwendolyn |
18 |
| Main; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and |
20 |
| Louise (nee Adele) Sauget; his two brothers, Vincent and |
21 |
| Richard Sauget; and a nephew, Vincent Sauget; therefore, be it |
22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of |
24 |
| Paul C. Sauget along with all who knew and loved him and extend |
25 |
| our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it |
26 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
28 |
| presented to the family of Paul Sauget as an expression of our |
29 |
| deepest sympathy.
