| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Peggy Ann (Cook) Womble of |
4 |
| Benton on Friday, May 14, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Peggy Ann Cook was born in Whittington on June 21, |
6 |
| 1938, to Alva and Pearl (House) Cook; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Womble retired from Wal-Mart and then became |
8 |
| manager of Caseys General Store in Benton, a job which she |
9 |
| dearly loved; she worked long hours, going in very early to |
10 |
| open the store; she loved her fellow employees and her |
11 |
| customers whom she looked forward to seeing; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Peggy Ann Womble has been deeply |
13 |
| felt by many, especially her daughters, Victoria "Vickie" Baker |
14 |
| and Valerie Kay Henderson; her son, Douglas Womble and wife, |
15 |
| Sherry; her grandchildren, Victor Ray Owens, Casey Matthew |
16 |
| Owens, Chalet Nicole Conner, Sheyenne McMahon, Ciara Jade |
17 |
| Henderson, L. Cortez "Tez" Henderson III, McKenzie Taylor |
18 |
| Heard, Emily Elizabeth Womble, and Dustin Wade Womble; her |
19 |
| great-granddaughter, Kali Rea Owens; her sisters, Louise |
20 |
| Kramer and Elaine Lucini; her brothers, Lowell "Bud" Cook and |
21 |
| Bob Cook; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Peggy Ann Womble, and we extend our sincerest condolences to |
25 |
| her family, friends, and community; and be it further
|
26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to the family of Peggy Ann Womble as an expression of |
28 |
| our deepest sympathy.
