| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were saddened to learn of the passing of John "Jack" R. Hosty, |
4 |
| Sr., who passed away on March 11, 2004; and |
5 |
| WHEREAS, Jack Hosty served as a Marine Officer in the |
6 |
| Korean War; and |
7 |
| WHEREAS, Jack Hosty was a longtime Oak Park resident and |
8 |
| was a founding member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange; |
9 |
| and |
10 |
| WHEREAS, Jack Hosty was a volunteer with the Democratic |
11 |
| Party of Oak Park, under the leadership of Senator Phil Rock |
12 |
| and later Senator Don Harmon; he served as the dedicated |
13 |
| Precinct Captain of Oak Park's Precinct 30; and |
14 |
| WHEREAS, Jack Hosty's passing was deeply felt by many, |
15 |
| especially his wife, Marilyn; his daughter, Jeanne and |
16 |
| son-in-law, Kent Eckstrom; his sons, John Jr. and |
17 |
| daughter-in-law Barbara, Edward and daughter-in-law Susan, and |
18 |
| Mark and daughter-in-law Tina; his grandsons, Zachary Eckstrom |
19 |
| and John III; his granddaughters, Morgan and Reagan; his sister |
20 |
| Patricia Donoghue; as well as his many beloved nieces and |
21 |
| nephews; and his many friends and family; therefore, be it |
22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of |
24 |
| John "Jack" R. Hosty, Sr. along with all who knew and loved |
25 |
| him; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to the family of John "Jack" R. Hosty as a token of |
28 |
| our deepest sympathy.
