| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were saddened to learn of the death of Reverend Frank Clark of |
4 |
| Chicago; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Reverend Frank Clark was born on May 10, 1923 to |
6 |
| the union of William Henry Clark and Irene Mitchell in |
7 |
| Vicksburg, Mississippi; he moved to Chicago as a child where he |
8 |
| lived, attended school, and found his life's work as an |
9 |
| ordained minister; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, Reverend Clark's life was a testimony to his love |
11 |
| of people as he ministered to his flock helping them through |
12 |
| their many trials and tribulations; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Reverend Clark loved and enjoyed people more than |
14 |
| anything else; he also had a fondness for competitive sports; |
15 |
| he appreciated music, particularly gospel music; he enjoyed |
16 |
| entertaining friends and family by singing gospel songs, |
17 |
| including his favorites: There is No Secret In What God Can Do |
18 |
| and Only Believe; another one of his favorites was Amazing |
19 |
| Grace; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, He will be missed and long remembered for his |
21 |
| sense of humor and his delight in the people he served; and |
22 |
| WHEREAS, Reverend Clark is survived by his devoted wife of |
23 |
| thirty-eight years, Lillian; his three daughters, Flora, |
24 |
| Janice, and Wendy; from a former marriage, his four older |
25 |
| children, Frances, Frank, Patricia, and Lloyd; and from a |
26 |
| previous union, his son, F. Alexander Clark; and his |
27 |
| grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, |
28 |
| and a multitude of other family members; therefore, be it
|
