| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the untimely death of Jennifer Lee |
4 |
| Dierdorff of Naperville on February 6, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Jennifer Lee Dierdorff was born on July 1, 1984 in |
6 |
| Redwood City, California to Jack and Nancy (Crossfield) |
7 |
| Dierdorff, Jr.; she attended Madison Junior High School in |
8 |
| Naperville, where she received the Robert Miller Science Award; |
9 |
| she was a 2002 graduate of Naperville Central High School, |
10 |
| where she was heavily involved in student government and was |
11 |
| the managing editor for the school newspaper; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Miss Dierdorff served as the chairperson from 1999 |
13 |
| to 2002 for the Mr. NCHS talent contest; she was also involved |
14 |
| with FMP (Freshman Peer Mentoring Program) and SAC (Student |
15 |
| Advisory Council) at Naperville Central; she ran track and |
16 |
| cross country for Central and lettered in cross country; and
|
17 |
| WHEREAS, Miss Dierdorff was a sophomore at The George |
18 |
| Washington University in Washington, D.C. on a presidential |
19 |
| academic scholarship; she was working as an aide to |
20 |
| Congresswoman Jennifer Dunn, Representative 8th District; she |
21 |
| was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority and was serving as sorority |
22 |
| treasurer; she was also the production manager for The George |
23 |
| Washington University school newspaper, The Hatchet; and
|
24 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Jennifer Lee Dierdorff has been |
25 |
| deeply felt by many, especially her parents, Jack and Nancy |
26 |
| (Crossfield) Dierdorff, Jr.; her brother, Daniel; her paternal |
27 |
| grandparents, Jack and Wanda Dierdorff; her 8 aunts; her 7 |
28 |
| uncles; and her many cousins; therefore, be it
