| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Margaret McPhee of Justice, |
4 |
| formerly of Ford City, on January 27, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Margaret Duhig worked as a secretary for law firms |
6 |
| and real estate businesses on Chicago's South Side, after which |
7 |
| she met her late husband, Joseph McPhee, who emigrated from |
8 |
| Canada; he opened a funeral home in 1936; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. McPhee was the last charter member and Past |
10 |
| Regent of Blessed Sacrament Circle 649 D of I, and a member of |
11 |
| the St. Adrian Women's Guild and Senior Citizens Club; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. McPhee has been deeply felt by |
13 |
| many, especially her sons, James J., Sr., and Joseph R.; her |
14 |
| daughter, Joanne Neblo; her eight grandchildren; her twelve |
15 |
| great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews; |
16 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
18 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
19 |
| Margaret McPhee, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
20 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
21 |
| further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
23 |
| presented to the family of Margaret McPhee as an expression of |
24 |
| our deepest sympathy.
