| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate of the State of |
3 |
| Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of William Jacob |
4 |
| Louis Nobbe of Litchfield on February 18, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on December 19, 1919 in Farmersville, |
6 |
| the son of Louis Charles and Ocelia Fuchs Nobbe; he married |
7 |
| Melvina Fern Burrow in 1941 in St. Louis; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Nobbe was a meat cutter for more than 40 years |
9 |
| and had worked for Capri IGA and Kroger in Litchfield; he was a |
10 |
| United States Army veteran of World War II; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in |
12 |
| Litchfield, the Lutheran Men's League, and was a former school |
13 |
| board member of Zion Lutheran School; in addition, he was a |
14 |
| member of American Legion Kniery-Knagg Post 436 in Litchfield |
15 |
| and Meat Cutters Local 534 of Belleville; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of William Jacob Louis Nobbe will be |
17 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Melvina; his son, Tim |
18 |
| Nobbe; his daughter, Jean Nobbe; his two brothers, Karl (wife, |
19 |
| Eleanor) Nobbe and Orin (wife, Lynda) Nobbe; and his three |
20 |
| grandchildren; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of |
23 |
| William Jacob Louis Nobbe along with all who knew and loved him |
24 |
| and extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; |
25 |
| and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
27 |
| presented to the family of William Jacob Louis Nobbe as an |
28 |
| expression of our deepest sympathy.
