| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were saddened to learn of the death of Duane L. Sevey of |
4 |
| Galesburg on February 16, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Sevey was born on June 23, 1938, in |
6 |
| Guttenburg, Iowa, the son of Clyde J. and Frana Meir Sevey; he |
7 |
| married Edith A. "Angie" Dodson on July 4, 1959, in Hanover; |
8 |
| and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Sevey graduated from Savannah High School and |
10 |
| served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959; and
|
11 |
| WHEREAS, He worked as a district manager for Archway |
12 |
| Cookies for eight years, retiring in 1998; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the |
14 |
| Twilight and Tee Vee bowling Leagues; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Duane L. Sevey will be deeply felt |
16 |
| by many, especially his wife, Edith; his son, Duane L. Sevey |
17 |
| Jr.; his daughter, Connie (and Mike) Ostrander; his three |
18 |
| sisters, Janice (and Don) Hamill, Joyce (and Doug) Bedinger, |
19 |
| and Judy (and Harvey) Kennedy; and his four grandchildren; and
|
20 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by two brothers and two |
21 |
| sisters; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
24 |
| Duane L. Sevey along with all who knew and loved him and extend |
25 |
| our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and be it |
26 |
| further
