| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Beverly Ann Criglar of |
4 |
| Springfield on Wednesday, January 28, 2004; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Criglar was born on August 19, 1940, in |
6 |
| Springfield, the daughter of Herbert and Dorothy Gaines Baker; |
7 |
| and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Criglar was Executive Secretary to Attorney |
9 |
| General Lisa Madigan; she previously worked for the |
10 |
| Comptroller's office, the Senate and House of Representatives, |
11 |
| and Constitutional Convention; she was known for her caring and |
12 |
| thoughtful personality, and the most important part of her life |
13 |
| was her family; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Criglar was a member of the Cathedral of the |
15 |
| Immaculate Conception, Sangamon County Democratic Minority |
16 |
| Causes, the Central Illinois Democratic Women, and was a |
17 |
| Democratic Precinct Committeeman; she served as personal |
18 |
| assistant to State Senator Barack Obama from 1997 to 2000; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Beverly Ann Criglar has been deeply |
20 |
| felt by many, especially her sons, William Hall (companion, |
21 |
| Kevin Tindell), Mark Baker, and Lionel M. (wife, Kim) Leake; |
22 |
| her daughter, Melinda Criglar; her grandson; her brothers, |
23 |
| Herbert Baker Jr. and Michael Baker; her sister, Gail Wright; |
24 |
| her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of co-workers |
25 |
| and other friends; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
27 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that along with her friends, |
28 |
| family, colleagues, and all who knew and loved her, we mourn |
29 |
| the passing of Beverly Ann Criglar; and be it further
