| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| were saddened to learn of the death of Todd W. "Bubba" Dicks of |
4 |
| Warsaw on December 3, 2003; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Dicks was born May 31, 1966, in Keokuk, the |
6 |
| son of Carroll Elmer and Alta A. Grimes Dicks; he was a |
7 |
| graduate of Warsaw High School Class of 1984; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Dicks worked for the City of Warsaw Street and |
9 |
| Water Departments and was a member of the Warsaw Volunteer Fire |
10 |
| Department; and |
11 |
| WHEREAS, He died while responding to the scene of an |
12 |
| accident with the Warsaw Volunteer Fire Department; he was the |
13 |
| first Warsaw firefighter to die in the line of duty in the |
14 |
| Department's 136-year history; he was accorded full |
15 |
| firefighter rites and burial; and |
16 |
| WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by many, |
17 |
| especially his mother, Alta Dicks; his sister, Renee Smith and |
18 |
| her husband, Todd "Smitty"; his nieces, Jessica and Jordyn |
19 |
| Smith; his uncle, Bill (Sherry) Grimes; and his two cousins, |
20 |
| Lacy and Cody Grimes; and |
21 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father in 1968; |
22 |
| therefore, be it |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
24 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
25 |
| Todd W. "Bubba" Dicks along with all who knew and loved him and |
26 |
| extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and |
27 |
