093_SR0329 LRB093 14387 RAH 20009 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois learned with regret of the passing of Marian 4 Elizabeth Stumm Stuck of Appleton, Wisconsin and formerly of 5 Aurora, on October 19, 2003; and 6 WHEREAS, Marian Elizabeth Stumm was born on June 4, 1918 7 in Aurora the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard J. Stumm; 8 she was a member of Holy Angels Church; and 9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Stuck attended Greeman and Freeman schools 10 and graduated from West Aurora High School with the class of 11 1936; she attended St. Mary's College at Notre Dame and the 12 University of Illinois; and 13 WHEREAS, While a student at the University of Illinois, 14 she was married James W. Reeder and their two daughters, Jane 15 (Dale) Osterling and Barbara (David) Berger, survive; and 16 WHEREAS, Also surviving are her beloved husband of 33 17 years, Raymond Stuck; her step-daughter, Kathy (Hillery) 18 Knecht; her sister, Eloise (Chris) Brush; her brother, Robert 19 J. (Dolores Ruddy) Stumm; her grandchildren, Katrina O. Abel, 20 Elizabeth O. Bagley, Julie Osterling, Nancy O. Edwards, James 21 Berger, and Rebecca B. Jones; and her great-grandchildren, 22 Emma Katherine Abel, Erin Elizabeth Abel, Elise Caroline 23 Abel, Donald Shepherd Bagley III, Ruth Elizabeth Bagley, 24 Kathryn Ann Bagley, Anna Jane Bagley, Reuben Osterling 25 Rosenblatt, Amanda Jane McCraine, Matthew Bentley McCraine, 26 Luke Michael Edwards, Riley Katherine Jones, and Maren 27 Elizabeth Jones; and 28 WHEREAS, Marian was an accomplished musician with a very 29 warm and loving personality, a host of friends, and great 30 zest for life; therefore, be it 31 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL -2- LRB093 14387 RAH 20009 r 1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 2 all who knew her, the death of Marian Elizabeth Stumm Stuck 3 of Appleton, Wisconsin; and be it further 4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 5 presented to the family of Marian Elizabeth Stumm Stuck with 6 our sincerest condolences.
