 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  learned  with  regret  of  the  death  of  Peter P.
 4    Bertetto of Canton on October 13, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Peter P. Bertetto was born on December 18,  1909
 6    in St. David to Lorenzo and Teresa Rubeo Bertetto; he married
 7    Regina  M.  Zielinski on September 21, 1935 in Westville; his
 8    wife preceded him in death on August 21, 1992; and

 9        WHEREAS, Mr. Bertetto worked  as  a  mechanic  for  Testa
10    Brothers  in  Danville  and  then  was an oiler for Buckheart
11    United Electric from 1937 to 1973; he was also  a  motorcycle
12    stunt rider for a stunt show based in Danville; and

13        WHEREAS, Mr. Bertetto was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
14    Church  in  Canton  and  the  Knights  of Columbus St. George
15    Council Third Degree; and

16        WHEREAS, The passing of Peter P. Bertetto has been deeply
17    felt by all who knew  and  loved  him,  especially  his  son,
18    Lorenzo (Karen McQueen) Bertetto; his brother, Joe (Harriett)
19    Bertetto;  and  his  sisters,  Domenica  (Ryan) Lancaster and
20    Betty Smith; he was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo
21    and Teresa Bertetto; a  grandchild;  three  brothers;  and  a
22    sister; therefore, be it

23        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
24    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along  with
25    all  who  knew him, the death of Peter P. Bertetto of Canton;
26    and be it further

27        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
28    presented  to  the  family  of  Peter  P.  Bertetto  with our
29    sincerest condolences.
