093_SR0249 LRB093 13394 KEF 18700 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Patrick 4 O'Neal Glenn of Florida on September 23, 2003; and 5 WHEREAS, Mr. Glenn was born on December 13, 1968 to the 6 union of Henry and Johnnie Glenn; he accepted Christ at an 7 early age at Holy Sanctuary Community Baptist Church in 8 Chicago; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Glenn attended Emerson Elementary and 10 Proviso East High School; he graduated from the University of 11 Iowa with a Bachelor's Degree and later earned his Master's 12 Degree in Liberal Arts; he was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha 13 Fraternity; and 14 WHEREAS, Mr. Glenn taught school in the Washington D.C. 15 area, Maryland, and later Florida; he was tremendously 16 blessed with the gift of knowledge and constantly excelled in 17 everything he set out to do; and 18 WHEREAS, Patrick O'Neal Glenn's passing will be deeply 19 felt by many, especially his loving parents, Henry and 20 Johnnie Glenn; his brothers, Michael (Robie) and Henry; his 21 grandmother, Josie (Tiny) Redwood; his aunts, Ruby, Georgie, 22 Diane, and Betty; his uncles, Luther, Walter, and Larry; his 23 nephew, Anthony; his special cousin, Mitchi; and a host of 24 other cousins, relatives, and friends; therefore, be it 25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing 27 of Patrick O'Neal Glenn along with all who knew and loved him 28 and extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; 29 and be it further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to the family of Patrick O'Neal Glenn as an -2- LRB093 13394 KEF 18700 r 1 expression of our deepest sympathy.
