093_SR0189 LRB093 12117 HSS 17010 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of 3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Ronald G. 4 Peffer of Aurora on Sunday, May 4, 2003; and 5 WHEREAS, Mr. Peffer was born on December 12, 1917, in 6 West Frankfort to James and Elizabeth Peffer; he married Pat 7 Peffer; and 8 WHEREAS, Mr. Peffer was a member of Holy Angels Church; 9 he worked as a layout specialist for more than 20 years at 10 Caterpillar, Inc. and retired in 1982; and 11 WHEREAS, Mr. Peffer valiantly served his country in the 12 U.S. Army during World War II from April 1941 until September 13 1943; he served as a communications messenger and was awarded 14 the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Medal; and 15 WHEREAS, Mr. Peffer was a member of Aurora Moose Lodge 16 400; he enjoyed golfing and his dog, Sammie; and 17 WHEREAS, The passing of Ronald G. Peffer has been deeply 18 felt by many, especially his wife, Pat Peffer; his children, 19 Patricia (Jerry) Sims, Mike (Peggy) Peffer, and Ronald 20 Peffer; his grandchildren, Mark Olson, Marcie Sims, Tim 21 Peffer, and Kara Peffer; his great-grandchildren, Mark and 22 Alyssa Olson; and his sister, Rosellen Siebert; therefore, be 23 it 24 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL 25 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing 26 of Ronald G. Peffer of Aurora and we extend to his friends, 27 family, and all who knew and loved him our deepest sympathy; 28 and be it further 29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 30 presented to the family of Ronald G.
